The company was founded in Southgate, North London, in 1957 when Slim was convinced that he could provide a better service to the motor repair trade himself and so, with the support of Valentine Paints, founded Morelli & Co, the group has expanded through acquisition and more recently green field development. Morelli is now the largest UK supplier of Glasurit, Spies Hecker, Du Pont, PPG, Masons and De Beer paint brands and are 3M’s largest independent distributor in the automotive market.

As the automotive refinishing industry continues to become more complex, and advancing technology in materials and processes together with the ever-increasing demands on bodyshop and dealer profitability, the industry requires it’s distribution partners to deliver more than just the efficient supply of paint and materials.

The Morelli Group also has a variety of products and specialist resources for the CV repair sector. Leading with the industry, recognised brand of Mason but also supplying a range of products from our other paint partners we supply 8% of the total UK CV market today. As the CV customer requires a different range of specialist services we have a brand manager and dedicated reps to support our customer base as well as our own technical resource.
