Mark Moring Gets Pedalling For Charity
DebRA is the national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
Regional Sales Director Mark Moring completed a gruelling cycle ride for DEBRA from the Stade de France Paris to Twickenham in London. This was a serious journey to undertake involving approx 100 miles a day.
Mark explains how he got involved. "I was invited to a DEBRA charity boxing evening in London by a good customer of mine, Vince Scudder. After learning more about this terrible skin condition and seeing some of the poor children it affects I felt I had to try and help out. Lawrence Dallagio did a speech at this event about his month long Charity bike ride visiting every Rugby ground in the 6 Nations tournament and said he had 2 spaces left on the DEBRA team for the Paris to London Stage so I put my name down and thankfully got accepted." Morelli Auction Hospitality Tickets for Spurs Game
Two tickets for Spurs v Manchester United donated by Morelli Group raised £1,500 when offered at a DEBRA event the lucky recipient had the choice of any game in the current 2011/12 season and unsurprisingly he chose the game against the current league champions.
2011 Morelli Golf Customers Chip In
Morelli customers in England and Scotland raised £1,500 at customer golf events this year. Customers gambled on being able to hit a green with the chance to win three golf balls and Scottish customers played out a heads and tails with the chance to get a £50 prize.
A charity auction was held at one event to win a signed Manchester United shirt donated by Morelli Director Andrew Moring a Spurs supporter who didn't want the shirt in his house influencing his kids at a young impressionable age this raised nearly £300
Morelli Additional Contribution
Morelli Group have donated additional funds to DEBRA with the Directors attending various events throughout 2011 at these events Morelli have donated to charity auctions as have their guests. The Morelli Group will this year donate their annual Christmas card donation to DEBRA helping to raise in excess of £2,000.
