October 2011: Morelli Group supply WorldSkills London 2011

WorldSkills London 2011, the largest ever international skills Competition and careers event has drawn to a close. It was held 5-8 October 2011 at ExCeL London, the largest event the venue has ever hosted.

Young people from 51 countries/regions were competing to be the best of the best in their chosen skill. Visitors were able to "Have a Go" at hundreds of new skills, meet top employers and get specialist careers advice to help make that important next step.

Morelli Group supplied product for three of the Skills Automobile Technology, Autobody Repair and Car Painting. We were an official supplier partner to the event and to that end had our logo printed on all the supporting literature and signage throughout the whole of the Excel. We supplied panel stands, trestles and various other bits of equipment to help the students complete their tasks. The Moretools panel stands and trestles that were supplied were highly commended by the judges for their stability and mobility.

Southgate College a Morelli customer and partner in several projects hosted the "Automotive Have a Go" area and displayed the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation motorcycle which attracted a lot of attention. More than 200,000 people from the UK visited and were inspired by the dedication of the teams taking part in the Competition.
