May 2007: Morelli's 50th year River boat party on the Thames.

"To celebrate 50 successful years in business the directors of Morelli Group, David, John & Ruth Moring, Allan Toms and Colin Laybourn arranged a night to remember for all their staff and their partners. 450 people participated in the fun by travelling to London on Saturday 12th May to join the directors and other selected guests on a Thames Riverboat Cruise.

Everyone was treated to a night of luxury at The London Hilton Metropole and after check-in were whisked off by a fleet of coaches for a champagne reception on the specially chartered Silver Sturgeon. This truly wonderful riverboat has just had a complete re-fit by the owners and proved the perfect venue. MD John Moring welcomed all the staff and guests aboard and thanked them for their contribution to Morelli's success over the years. He paid special thanks to the rest of the Board of Directors past and present and said how proud his father and mother 'Slim & Win' would have been to have witnessed the party."
