March-2009-Eagle-the-Ultimate-E-Type
Morelli Group customer Eagle are based in East Sussex, and have been "remanufacturing" bespoke Jaguar E-types since 1982. Not only do they remanufacture E-Types, but they are considered the worldwide leaders in Jaguar E-Type restoration and have achieved this feat by focusing an entire company on the development of the Eagle E-Type.
Each Eagle E-Type takes in excess of 4000 man hours to complete and the finished product is truly unique to each owner with only two being completed each year they are truly one of the most exclusive cars available to order. Andy Sharp, the head paint technician at Eagle showed me round the premises and he talked knowledgably about every stage of the production process. The cars are painted in Spies Hecker and one of their Black Drop Head Coupe vehicles has been featured on the Spies Hecker 2008 worldwide Calendar as shown in the picture featuring Andy Sharp and his paint team.
Neil Bridgewater has been the Morelli contact at Eagle and has worked closely with Spies Hecker and Andy Sharp to provide the technical service levels required at such a unique account. It really is an amazing work place to look round and Eagle's founder Henry Pearman must be very proud of what they have achieved reviving these E-Types - regarded amongst the most beautiful cars ever made.
